Q1. Is there an age limit?
We invite individuals aged 15 and above, who can manage their daily life independently, to join us!
Q2. Are there any specific requirements?
<Participants must follow the service schedule set by the organization, including early bedtimes and early mornings. (If you have specific medical conditions or needs, please consult us before registering.)
<Participants need to actively engage in pre-departure preparations, adapt to group living, maintain good communication, respect diverse cultures, and manage stress and emotions during the service trip.
Q3. Does filling out the application form complete the registration process?
Filling out the application form is only the first step.
Please ensure you complete the following steps:
- Fill out the application form.
- Receive the first email: You will receive an email with interview details.
- Receive the second email: After the interview, you will receive a second email regardless of the result. Successful applicants should follow the instructions provided in the email.
- Pay the program fee, join the preparation Line group, fill out the personal information form, and upload the passport information page.
- Registration is complete.
Q4. What is included in the fees?
Airfare: Approximately NT$16,000, subject to seasonal fluctuations. Tickets will be purchased collectively by the service group 1–2 months before departure.
Program Fee: NT$18,900, to be paid in full upon registration. Includes meals, accommodation, administrative tasks, project management, and preparation training during the service period.
Note: Personal expenses for sightseeing, tickets, and souvenirs are not included.
Q5. What are the service activities?
Plan and lead classes and games for local students.
Assist in improving school facilities and beautifying the environment.
Organize and distribute charitable supplies.
Set up libraries and create school displays to promote reading.
Q6. I’ve never taught before. How should I prepare?
During the preparation meetings, we’ll guide you through the process!
This includes providing a course structure, guiding lesson plan writing, arranging lesson reviews, and sharing experiences from senior team members. As long as you’re willing to work hard and adapt as needed, there’s no need to worry!
Q7. How accessible is the internet and communication at the service location?
While the network may not be as strong or fast as in Taiwan, you can generally access the internet at the service location. Volunteers can consult their telecom providers in Taiwan for suitable internet plans before departure.
Before departure, we will create a parent communication group (Line) to help keep everyone informed. Additionally, we will notify the local representative office to ensure peace of mind.
Q8. What is the weather like in the area?
After mid-June, the southwest monsoon brings the rainy season, with average temperatures ranging from 25 to 30°C. Pay special attention to sun protection at noon. Afternoon thunderstorms are common, so bring rain gear.
Q9. I’m worried about adapting to the local food. How can I prepare?
Local food tends to have stronger flavors compared to Taiwan, and occasional gastrointestinal discomfort is possible. If needed, opt for lighter meals. Fatigue can also lower immunity, so we recommend regular exercise in Taiwan before departure. During the trip, take daily supplements of vitamin B complex and vitamin C, and bring any necessary medications based on your health conditions.
Q10. I want to apply for a school subsidy. What documents can the organization provide?
We can provide:
Proof of service hours
Boarding passes
E-tickets
Receipts issued by travel agencies
Please apply for these documents at least two months before departure. For additional certifications or reimbursement documents, apply early.
To request proof of service hours:
Submit your service reflections and photos to the administrative team within two weeks of returning. Once reviewed, the proof of service hours will be mailed to your designated address.
Q11. Does the team provide insurance? Can I purchase additional coverage?
We will arrange “Overseas Travel Safety Insurance” for all participants, including NT$2 million in accident insurance and NT$200,000 in emergency medical insurance.
If you wish to purchase additional insurance, you may do so independently. However, note that when seeking reimbursement for medical expenses abroad, an original diagnosis certificate is typically required. Local hospitals usually issue only one original copy and do not provide additional copies upon request. Please use the original copy carefully!!
Q12. Can I get a refund if I withdraw for personal reasons after registering?
- If you withdraw more than two months before departure, 85% of the program fee will be refunded.
- If you withdraw within two months but more than one month before departure, 50% of the program fee will be refunded. If airfare has already been issued, the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting airline and agency processing fees.
- If you withdraw within one month but more than two weeks before departure, 30% of the program fee will be refunded.
- If you withdraw within two weeks before departure or during the trip, or fail to show up, leave the team without notice, or arrive late, no refund will be given.
- If you return to Taiwan early for personal reasons after the trip has started, no refund will be given.
Note: If special circumstances arise, please notify the administrative staff as soon as possible.
